Our Dogs

Note: We have had some individuals show interest in an  easy way to help support the animals in our shelter.  To this end, we have started the Guardian Angel Program.  With this program you can click on the link following each animal's description and donate an amount of your choosing to the care and comfort of that animal.  If the pet of your choice finds their forever home before your donation runs out, the remaining amount will go toward the next dog or cat to take up residence in their place.  Thus, you can become a Guardian Angel to one or more of the homeless pets in our care. 

Remember though, this Program is a sponsorship of the animal, not an adoption.  To adopt one of the dogs or cats on this list, you will need to contact us in person, by phone, or by e-mail, and go through the required adoption process.

Our Guardian Angel Program uses PayPal, the most popular transaction site on the Internet.

All the animals listed on this site have been altered, are current on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. To inquire about adopting one of the dogs you see here, please visit our contact us page to submit a request.

Casey - Pit Bull - 7 yr old - Spayed Female   Casey 's Guardian Angel Link Casey is a great pit bull. She’s about 7 years old and anyone would be lucky to own this girl. Casey was given to us when her family could no longer care for her. Casey is great with kids. She is a smart, laid back girl. If you want a water dog, someone to hang out with in the sprinkler or the lake, Casey is perfect. Mature, friendly, smart, tolerant, loves food, easy going....just wants a nice home with a fenced in yard to grow old in. Casey is completely potty trained.

Shotzy - German Shorthair Pointer - 3 1/2 yr old - Spayed Female   Shotzy's Guardian Angel Link Shotzy is 3 ½ years old and has spent 2 of those years in the shelter. She would love to find a forever home with a family who will play fetch with her and take her jogging. She has learned to walk on a treadmill with the help of a human beside her. This helps to get her the exercise she needs. She knows the basic commands and listens very well. Shotzy needs to be the only dog and preferably the only pet as she gets a bit distracted with cats. After she’s run for a while, she loves to just hang out and have her tummy rubbed. Shotzy deserves to be with a family who will love her like we do.

Shadow - Chow Chow Mix - 1 1/2 yr old - Spayed Female   Shadow's Guardian Angel Link Shadow is a 1 to 1 1/2 yr old spayed chow chow mix. She looks like a pure chow, but with short hair. Shadow was abandoned in our boarding facility by a young couple that decided she wasn't worth the work. How sad. Shadow is beautiful and with some guidance she will be a very nice dog.

Russett - Shar Pei - 8 1/2 yr old - Neutered Male   Russett's Guardian Angel Link Russett is an 8 1/2 yr old neutered male Shar Pei. Russett is a chocolate, rough coat, smart boy. Do you have room in your heart and home for this boy to complete his life in? He deserves a loving home with a yard and people who love him.

Cactus Kim - Brussels Griffon - 6 yr old - Spayed Female   Cactus Kim's Guardian Angel Link Kim is a puppy mill survivor. Kim is bigger than most Griffon's. Kim is sweet and would do great in a home with another nice dog and probably no little kids. She would be frightened of the fast movement and loud noises.

Demi - American Bulldog - 2 yr old - Spayed Female   Demi's Guardian Angel Link Demi is 1 1/2 or 2 yrs old. She is a happy girl. Demi is house trained (as long as she isn't left inside for 12 hours). Demi is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventative. Demi needs a dog & cat free home. She would need to be the only pet as she has a very high prey drive...... Demi will ONLY be available to the right home. If you live in the Omaha city limits, you must follow all of the BSL set forth by the city of Omaha.

Clover - PitBull Terrier Mix - Spayed Female   Clover's Guardian Angel Link Clover is a young adult female PitBull Terrier/Mix. Isn't she PRETTY!! She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Clover was rescued from an over crowded shelter in Iowa. We don’t know much about her but she would love to find a permanent family to live with. She has lots of energy and enjoys running in the yard.

Julia - Shar Pei - 9 yr old - Spayed Female   Julia's Guardian Angel Link Julia is about 9 yrs old. She was rescued from a puppy mill in Iowa. She is a lovely lady. Wouldn't you like to give her a home, her first real home, for her to spend her last few years? Shar Pei rescue requires children in the adoptive homes to be over 12 yrs of age. Application, home visit and adoption fee to help defray vet costs required.

Meghan - Shar Pei - 4 yr old - Spayed Female   Meghan's Guardian Angel Link Meghan is about 4 yrs old and ONE LUCKY GIRL!! Meghan was rescued from a puppy mill. She has been spayed, vaccinated, will be microchipped. She had entropion eye surgery and is doing well. Meghan is learning to be a dog. She is learning that people can be nice to her. Shar Pei rescue requires children in the adoptive homes to be over 12 yrs of age. Application, home visit and adoption fee to help defray vet costs required.

Curry - Black Mouth Cur - 1 1/2 yr old - Spayed Female   Curry's Guardian Angel Link Curry is a 1-1 1/2 yr old Black Mouth Cur. She is about 45 pounds and a great dog. Curry LOVES other dogs, kids, playing in the water, etc. Curry is spayed & vaccinated. She was rescued from a puppy mill in Kansas, so probably has never lived in a house. Wonderful, energetic personality.

Amarillo - Yellow Labrador - 1 1/2 yr old - Neutered Male   Amarillo's Guardian Angel Link Amarillo is a 1 - 1 1/2 yr old yellow lab. He is a big, goofy boy that LOVES to play with the ball and splash in the water. Amarillo will need a 6 foot privacy fence as he can climb chain link fencing. BEAUTIFUL BOY!!
